Bali Day 2 - Part 2

This is a spectacular view of the still active volcano Gunung Batur and Lake Batur at Kintamani, the place where we had our lunch for the day. This place lebih kurang macam cameron highlands gitu. Naik bukit dan cuaca sungguh nyaman dan dingin sekali.

Ni pencuci mulut, ada jeruk bali (limau), pisang emas and buah markisa.

Buah Markisa ni nak makan cam gini, kena bukak macam kupas buah manggis.

Isinya, ala2 buah delima tp lembik sket

Pastu makan guna sudu. Sedap bangat!!

Lepas makan terus bertolak ke Tampaksiring to visit Elephant Cave and Holy Spring Temple. On the way singgah makan 'durian Bali' kat tepi jalan. Sedap, macam durian kampung kat sini.

Habih makan durian, we all terus ke Tampaksiring Holy Spring Temple. Kat sini selain dari temple ada gak pasar kecil jual sovenir. Gambaq pasar tak dan nak ambik sbb orang2 kat situ dok tarik tangan suruh beli brg depa saja. Mintak murah tak mau jual pulak tuh.

After jalan2 kat Holy Temple, we all terus gi Elephant Cave, our last destination for the day. Waktu ni dah petang badan pun dah letih sangat. Tapi nak gi Elephant Cave ni nak kena turun tangga pulak. Part turun ni ok, nak naik satgi yang tak larat tuh.

Inilah Elephant Cave. Ada macam gajah ka? Its just a name and actually this place was used as the meditation spot and also as the place for Hindus to practice Yoga.

Ini pandangan dari atas tangga. Yang macam ketul2 batu tu bekas tapak Temple yang dah pecah.

Last but not least, before balik hotel kite semua dibawa ke Natrabu for dinner. Makanan enak sekali, dapat la cover lunch kat Kintamani yang tak berapa selera nak makan.

Bali Day 2 - Part 1

We are ready! Posed kejap kat balcony. Actually our room was at 2nd floor and next to my fren's room. Our room pun ok2 je la. But its Garden Villa santek sangat (bak kata Yaya, my fren's daughter). Maybe we have to pay extra kot kalau nak stay kat the Garden Villa. Hehehe...

Before gi tour we all breakfast dulu. Makan pun bese2 je. Tak kisah la kan, janji ada benda nak makan. Buatnya tak halal, mau meraung. Its cafe facing the Kuta Beach, public beach yang penuh dengan ramai orang. Memang byk surfers kat sana. Tengok2 dari jauh je la. Nak surf memang tak pandai. Tapi klu boleh pun memang tak cukup masa nak gi Kuta Beach. Padahal opposite hotel je, tp sampai last day kat sana tak jejak kaki langsung kat pasir pantai tu.

Our 1st day tour started with Batubulan which famous for its Barong and Kris Dance i.e a sacred dance representing the eternal fight between good and evil. We sat at the so called 'Pavillion' yang packed and agak panas.

The story goes like this:-

"The dance starts with music over tone"

"Followed by his friend the monkey, the tiger comes up. Three masked - dancers appear representing men making palmwine in the forest,
whose child is killed by the tiger.
The three men get angry and attack the tiger which is helped by the monkey.
During the fight the nose of one of the three men is bitten off."

"Two girls - dancers appear representing the servants of the Rangda,
looking for the servants of Dewi Kunti who are on the way to meet
their Patih (Prime Minister)".


"The servants of Dewi Kunti come.
One of the servants of the Rangda changes into witch
enters both servants to make them angry.
They meet their Patih and go together to Dewi Kunti."

"Dewi Kunti and her son, Sadewa come up.
Dewi Kunti has promised the Rangda to sacrifice Sadewa.
A witch appears and enters Dewi Kunti.
She becomes angry and orders the Patih to bring Sadewa into the forest.
The Patih is also entered by the witch so he does not have pity on Sadewa.
Sadewa is then taken into a forest and tied up on a tree."

"Unknown by Rangda, Siwa, God appears and gives Sadewa immortality.
The Rangda appears ready to kill Sadewa and eats him but Sadewa is still alive.
She then surrendeds and asks him to redeem herself,
Sadewa agrees and kill the Rangda.
The Rangda goes into Heaven."


"One of the servants of the Rangda called Kalika comes up before Sadewa and asks him to redeem herself too. Sadewa refuses. Kalika got angry and change herself into a boar and fights Sadewa. The boar can be defeated. She then changes herself into a Rangda. Sadewa cannot kill heron. Such circumstances Sadewa meditates and then he changes himself into a Barong. Still the Rangda seems to be too powerful and the fight is unended.
Barong's followers appear and help him fight the Rangda."

After the show, we proceeded to the famous village of Celuk which is known for its gold and silver smiths. Here, we visited Sri Sunari Emas & Perak. Just tengok2. Takde beli apa2 pun kat sini.

Our next destination was Ubud which is known as Home of Bali's famous artist. Singgah kat I Wayan Arnama Lukisan. Banyak sgt paintings kat sini. Murah2, but still we all bargain sampai the lowest price.

Habih shoping2 beli paintings, we all pegi kejap tengok woodcarvers kat Pusat Kerajinan area Mas. Kat sini banyak ukiran2 kayu, dari patung sampai la ke furniture rumah. Banyak untuk dijamu mata. Souvenir lain pun banyak jugak, tp quite expensive. Kat sini pun tak beli ape2. Stop kejap je coz perut dah lapar and we were supposed to go to Kintamani for our lunch.

Bali Day 1

LCCT, Marry Brown and On Board

Bertolak dari rumah about 11am to my fren's hse coz nak car pool with her to LCCT. We stop at Puchong for while and my fren's bro drop us at LCCT. Makan2 at Marry Brown and ready to board. Flight delay about 30 minutes. Alhamdulillah about 3 hours we landed safely at the Surfer's Paradise.

Ngurah Rai International Airport and Jimbaran Bay

Sampai je kat airport, our tour guide Mr. Madi from Indo Shangri-La Travel Ltd terus bawak we all gi dinner kat Jimbaran Bay. This place is famous with its variety of fresh seafood. on the beach. The food was ok. Tengah lapar, belasah je la.

Sudah makan, terus gi check-in at Grand Istana Rama at Kuta. After that terus Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. The next morning dah nak start tour. Meeting with the tour guide at 8.30am.

128 Faubourg Beauty Session

Received invitaton from OneCard for 128 Faubourg Beauty Session on 5th May 2009. Kebetulan pulak. Semalam pegi Aster Spring ada gak promotion for facial tapi masa tak mengizinkan. Suddenly, dapat plak this invitation, terus RSVP. Pegi je, maybe dapat tips yang bagus and kalau dapat buat facial free or discounted ker ok jugak. Dah lama tak manja2 diri sendiri.

Another rugby game

Today team hubby SLRC ada repeat game dengan D'Montel kat Padang Astaka Jalan Utara PJ. Last time game with D'Montel kena cancel coz hujan lebat sgt. Tapi hari pun memang tak bernasib baik. Game sepatutnya mula jam 3.30 tp tgu sampai jam 5.00 team lawan still tak ready coz tak cukup player. At last game cancelled and SLRC lawan same sendiri. Ya la, player ramai alang2 dah datang main je la.

Lunch at Anis Puteri

Hari ni rasa nak lunch kat kedai Anis Puteri. Tempat ni kat Pantai Dalam. 1st time pi sana my fren Nurul yang bawak coz dia stay kat area2 situ jugak. Macam2 ada semuanya masakan kampung ala2 Kelantan yang memang sungguh menyelerakan. Siap ada gulai kawah lagi. Pendek kata memang kena dengan my taste. Tak tahu la klu byk tempat makan camni kat KL, so far from my experience ini 2nd place yang serve makanan camni yang pernah jumpa Satu lagi kat Taman Melati kedai "Leha Kelfood". Tu pun sedap jugak. Tapi in term of price, Anis Puteri memang murah sgt2 compared to Lehal Kelfood.

Guess what? Semua kat atas tu plus drinks (1 ice tea, 1 ice lemon, 1 ice lemon tea, 1 ice water & 2 sirap) only costs us RM22++. Sedap dan jimat. Klu mahal sikit pun takpe, yang penting puas hati.
